Not to mention bibliotherapy works because it’s physically safely triggering.

That alone retrains the body’s nervous system/gut to feel safe because the environment is safe despite what the mind imagines. 

Trying to control the environment is a symptom, not a solution. One must choose to avoid as much aversion as possible.

2/3 scientific studies agree they are harmful. I doubt science will look much more.

Read at a teen/pre-teen level. Never read fiction or non in the adult section that didn’t have something traumatic. Do not follow people on social media that talk about ptsd/ cptsd/ trauma/reality.

Trying to control another with pleas of compassion and being reactive is a behavior pattern that abusers seek out, which might mean something worse to survive or jail time.
