Thank You

for showing me

Repeatedly

that this Society

is incapable of loving me.

That it has never

had the capacity to care

about the ones

they leave behind

in search 

of personal interests…

or really Safety.

How could a person

in a world

determined to maintain

Inequality

Birth a Civilized 

willingness

to help another

While the self is UNsafe?

Its impossible.

No one can hold up another

with their own legs broken.

so I am overwhelmed 

with gratitude

as each person like me

crying out

just might give others

the attention they need

for self

so that one day

the global automatic standard

Rest heavily

in HUMAN rights to safety

from food to housing 

and health

even emotional security

with dependable income.
